Good garlicky flavor with mild heat from this unique variety. Bulbs are routinely “rough” in shape with papery wrappers. We’ve experienced frequent “double cloves” in this variety which provides for plenty of spring green garlic when thinning shortly after emergence. Variety produces HUGE bulbils that often result in neck bulbils. Variety does not require scape removal for bulb sizing but we still recommend removal.
